How do I find a woodland mansion in Minecraft?
Enter your world seed and every woodland mansion in range is marked on the map. Click a marker to see its chunk and copy a /tp command straight to it. Turn the biome layer on to see the terrain around it before you set off.
Where do woodland mansions generate?
Mansions generate only in dark forest and pale garden biomes, on a grid 80 chunks across. Both are uncommon, so a world can run for tens of thousands of blocks without a single mansion. Zoom out if none appear near spawn.
What is inside a woodland mansion?
Mansions are the reliable source of totems of undying, dropped by the evokers inside. Evokers also turn up in village raids, so a totem is not strictly mansion-only, but a mansion holds several with no raid to survive first. It also holds diamond blocks in hidden rooms, enchanted books and the vindicator "Johnny".
Why can I not find a mansion?
They are genuinely rare. Zoom the map out until you see dark forest or pale garden regions and look there. The nearest one is often several thousand blocks from spawn, and that is normal rather than a bug.
What is inside a woodland mansion?
Evokers (which drop totems of undying), vindicators, and a set of themed rooms, some with diamond blocks or enchanted books hidden behind walls. Bring a pickaxe and break into the sealed rooms.
Does this work for Minecraft Bedrock Edition?
Yes. Use the Java / Bedrock toggle above the map. Be aware the two editions are not interchangeable: since 1.18 they share terrain and biome generation, so the landscape for a given seed looks nearly the same, but structures like villages and strongholds use edition-specific placement and end up in different places. Bedrock also uses 32-bit seeds where Java uses 64-bit.
Is my seed sent to a server?
No. The whole map is computed in your browser with JavaScript. Your seed never leaves your device, there is no account, and no download is necessary.
Can I share a link to what I am looking at?
Yes. The address bar updates as you pan and zoom, so you can copy the URL at any time, or press Copy link. Anyone opening it lands on the same seed at the same position and zoom.
What do the grid lines mean?
The fine grid is chunks (16x16 blocks), which is the unit slime chunks and mob spawning work in. The heavier grid is regions (512x512 blocks, or 32x32 chunks), which is the unit Minecraft uses when deciding where to place structures. Brighter lines through the middle mark the world origin at X=0, Z=0.
